Our Commitment

HMX Technology Media LLC is committed to making its website, hmxtechnology.com, accessible to people with disabilities in accordance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act, and the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA.

We believe that all users, regardless of ability, should be able to access, read, and interact with our content. Accessibility is not an afterthought in our design process — it is a foundational requirement.

Accessibility Features

HMX Technology has implemented the following accessibility features on its website:

• Semantic HTML structure: Pages use proper heading hierarchy (H1 through H3), landmark roles (banner, main, navigation, contentinfo), and semantic elements throughout.
• Keyboard navigation: All interactive elements — navigation links, form fields, buttons — are fully keyboard accessible using Tab, Enter, and Space keys.
• ARIA labels and roles: Interactive elements and non-obvious page structures include descriptive ARIA labels and roles to improve screen reader compatibility.
• Alternative text: All informational images include descriptive alt text. Decorative images are marked with empty alt attributes (alt="") to be ignored by screen readers.
• Color contrast: Our design uses high-contrast color combinations. Primary text against background colors meets WCAG AA contrast ratio minimums (4.5:1 for body text).
• Scalable text: The Site is designed to remain functional and readable when browser text size is increased up to 200%.
• Focus indicators: Visible focus indicators are present on all interactive elements for keyboard users.
• Skip navigation: We are actively working to implement skip-to-main-content links on all pages.
• Form accessibility: All form inputs are associated with descriptive labels. Error messages identify the specific field and provide guidance on correction.
• Responsive design: The Site reflows correctly at viewport widths as narrow as 320px, supporting users who require large text via browser zoom or mobile devices.
• No auto-playing media: No audio or video content plays automatically on any page of this Site.
• Reading progress indicator: Decorative progress bars are marked aria-hidden="true" and do not interfere with assistive technology.

Conformance Status

HMX Technology aims to conform to WCAG 2.1 Level AA. We conduct periodic internal accessibility reviews and work to remediate identified issues on a priority basis. We acknowledge that:

• Some third-party content (including advertising scripts and external embeds) may not fully conform to accessibility standards
• We are actively working to improve accessibility across all pages, including older content
• Full WCAG 2.1 AA conformance is an ongoing goal, not a static achievement

Known Limitations

We are aware of the following accessibility limitations and are actively working to resolve them:

• Some animated elements (ticker bar, decorative glows) do not respond to the prefers-reduced-motion media query. We intend to implement this in a forthcoming update.
• Third-party advertising scripts may introduce accessibility issues outside our direct control. We communicate accessibility requirements to our advertising partners.
• The SVG logo may not render descriptive text in all older screen reader versions. We are evaluating enhanced SVG accessibility attributes.

Assistive Technology Compatibility

HMX Technology is designed to be compatible with the following assistive technologies:

• Screen readers: NVDA, JAWS, VoiceOver (macOS and iOS), TalkBack (Android)
• Browser zoom and text enlargement
• Keyboard-only navigation
• High contrast display modes
• Switch access and alternative input devices

We recommend using the latest version of your browser and assistive technology for the best experience.

Third-Party Content

Some pages on this Site contain content from third-party sources, including advertising networks and embedded media. HMX Technology does not control the accessibility of third-party content and cannot guarantee its conformance with accessibility standards. We encourage third-party partners to meet WCAG 2.1 AA standards and communicate this expectation as part of our commercial agreements.
